My name is Austin Riley and I have been a part of the CrossFit Inversion family since April 2016. I began coaching for Inversion in 2017 and what I enjoy most is helping our members reach their fitness potential and seeing them grow and develop as athletes. The greatest feeling is watching someone move efficiently in a movement they used to struggle with. I pull a lot from my own personal journey in fitness which allows me to relate and understand where our members are coming from in their own fitness journey.

Since 2013, going through my own personal health and fitness journey, it has become my passion to train and help people reach for their personal goals in and outside of the gym. Having a B.A. in Communications and Dance, coaching Recreational/Elite gymnastics and managing a Dance Studio as Head Acro Coach, I’ve developed my skills to communicate and work with clients of all levels.
My goal is to make it the best hour of my client’s day. They come in with goals to achieve and I make sure they get there. Personally, going through the true struggles and challenges that come with weight loss and fitness, I KNOW the mindset you need to be in to get where you want to be.
I love coaching Olympic Lifting, specifically the Snatch! You will always see me dancin’ and yell out “Whoop, Whoop!” to get you hyped for a great workout.

Growing up I was an athlete. I played Rugby & Football all through high school and played 2 years of rugby at Azusa Pacific University . I have been fortunate enough to have worked with current active NFL player Josh Tupou prepare for he’s NFL rookie season, I’ve also worked with Butch Pauu former linebacker for BYU during the offseason. My background as an athlete has helped me to be able to relate to all areas of fitness and all levels of fitness. I enjoy the challenge of getting new members with new goals, every persons’ journey is different and as a coach it is my job to help them on that journey and lay out a path to reach their fitness goals.
I have been competing at anything and everything since I first learned how to walk. I love that CrossFit is a performance-based sport because it shows that the harder you work, the more successful you will become. If you want to beat someone, you must first outwork them. I try to bring that same drive and work ethic to the gym with me every day, and I will always push you to become the best version of yourself. I enjoy working one on one with our members to better understand and help them reach their fitness goals.
